We support our people who are aiming to achieve an academic or professional qualification that will help them develop personally and deliver to the highest standard for our clients.\r\n\r\n<strong>Position: Construction Cost Manager<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThis position will be directly responsible for planning and executing project estimates and costs throughout the various design stages, as well as during project execution. This is fast-paced work with concurrent assignments and frequent deadlines, requiring self-discipline, excellent time management, and solid organizational skills.\r\n\r\n<strong>Essential Functions:<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Produces cost estimates at concept, scheme, and detailed design stages.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Oversees the production of a detailed BOQ for tender.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Manages the tender process, reviews and analyzes tender returns, and prepares a recommendation for the client.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>As primary project cost controller, ensures that the project remains on budget through the design and construction phases.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assesses and values progress payments and change requests.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Reviews and compares scopes of work, production rates, and cost data.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Prepares earned value reports.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Prepares, reviews, and updates cash-flows.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Estimates variation orders for Subcontractors\/GC Contractors.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Reviews and evaluates payment certificates for Subcontractors\/GC Contractor.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Evaluates and negotiates variations and change orders in liaison with the Contract Administrator, Commercial Manager, Design, and Construction Team.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Evaluates and negotiates final accounts settlements.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Skills\/Essentials:<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Capable of taking-off quantities and measurements from drawings and\/or CAD\/Revit models.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Highly proficient in Excel.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Develop detailed cost estimates from drawings; identify deficiencies and\/or questions.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Competent in spoken &amp; written presentations for estimates, reconciling documents, etc.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Understanding of the make-up of net costs; including review of material prices, labor rates\/fringe benefits.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Willing to accumulate, evaluate, and document historical cost data for the development of future estimates (benchmarking).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Confident to coordinate and liaise with project management throughout the estimate development and\/or the design team.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Capacity to handle pressure and multitasking is a must.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong focus on quality.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Fluency in English.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience working on FIDIC, JCT, or NEC contracting is a plus.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of measurement software and digital tools like Cost-X; AutoCAD, and Revit is a plus.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Basic Qualifications:<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Minimum three (3) years in leading construction activities.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree or certification in Finance \/ Engineering \/ Quantity Surveying \/ Cost control or related field.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","position":[],"class_list":["post-3452","vacancy","type-vacancy","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.lmc.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vacancy\/3452","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.lmc.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vacancy"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.lmc.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/vacancy"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.lmc.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3452"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"position","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.lmc.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/position?post=3452"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
